Summary:
The Director of Production Control oversees production planning, inventory management, materials coordination, logistics, and purchasing to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery in an aluminum casting manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage production schedules aligned with demand and capacity
- Oversee inventory levels for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Coordinate with suppliers and procurement for timely material delivery
- Optimize use of labor, equipment, and materials across production
- Drive process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce waste
- Lead and develop the production control team
- Monitor performance metrics and report on production status
- Control production costs while maintaining quality standards
- Troubleshoot disruptions and implement corrective actions
- Analyze data for forecasting and planning
- Communicate with customers on order status and timelines
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean methods
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 10 years in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Minitab experience a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement
- Skilled in production planning, inventory control, and data analysis

Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
