Job Summary
The RN Supervisor works with the Nursing Staff of the facility to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct the nursing functions for the professional and non-professional nursing personnel to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to the residents in the facility. This is done in an efficient and timely manner with consideration for both healthcare and legal responsibilities of the resident, the facility, and the employees.
Education
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing currently registered with the state agency for nursing licensure and hold a current valid Registered Nursing License.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates leadership and managerial ability.
- Has the ability to organize, plan, and supervise the nursing department in coordination with other resident services.
- Maintains effective interpersonal relationships.
- Is of good emotional, mental, and physical health having sound judgement and high professional standards.
- Maintains a neat, well-groomed and professional appearance at all times.
- Has a desire to work with the geriatric residents and their current and prospective needs.
- Must demonstrate the ability to follow policies, procedures, practices, and direction.
- Must demonstrate the ability to function as a cooperative team member with the nursing as well as all disciplines in the facility.
