Discovery Guide
The Mt Pleasant Discovery Museum is currently hiring Discovery Guides. As a Discovery Guide you will be the first to greet visitors and register their visit to the children's museum. You will also use your organizational skills to maintain an orderly exhibit floor. In this role you will gain experience in event planning and programming, museum operations, and early elementary education. We are looking to fill the following shifts:
- Tuesday 6pm-8pm
- Friday 9:30am-6:30pm
- Saturday 9:30am-6:30pm
Responsibilities
- Sell admission and provide excellent customer service
- Interact with guests and their children on the museum floor
- Assist children as they explore the museum and learn through play
- Maintain clean and tidy exhibits
- Reset the museum floor throughout the day
- Develop an educational program
- Assist with field trips, birthday parties, and other events at the museum
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to pass a background check
Compensation and Benefits
- $11 hourly to start with incremental raises
