Role:
A leadership position responsible for directing the branch operations (Teller/MSR / Lending-MLO) of a credit union community branch facility; ensuring the branch meets operational, service, and growth plans. Possesses strong communication and organizational skills and is able to work autonomously to achieve the primary objectives of the role
Requirements:- Responsible for complying with all laws, statues, rules and regulations which govern the credit union, including but not limited to all components of the Bank Secrecy Act and the US Patriot Act.
- Monitors the work of Teller/MSR’s, the Senior MSR and the Consumer Lending MLO in the Ardmore Branch: conducts observation and coaching with the Senior MSR and ensures observation and coaching of the Teller/MSR’s is completed according to the standards for SHARE: The MTC Federal Way and reflects an ever-improving experience for our members. Reviews appropriate logs and reports to verify all audits and operational processes are completed timely, accurately, and in accordance with standard operating procedure performance reviews; allocates resources to meet operational needs within the branch; reviews and approves, denies, or modifies operational recommendations from subordinates.
- Responsible for achieving financial, sales, and services goals as determined by the credit union’s strategic plan. Serves as a sales leader; communicates sales philosophy; conducts weekly sales meetings; ensures branch is obtaining or exceeding sales goals and maximizes sales, referral and member services skills of the team to meet the needs of our members through an efficient and effective member experience.
- Monitors branch operating results relative to established goals and objectives and takes appropriate steps to correct unsatisfactory performance or conditions.
- Monitors all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.
- Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, community organizations, SEG organizations(s), chambers of commerce and similar groups. Volunteers at community events sponsored by the credit union.
- Collaborates effectively with all areas of the credit union to achieve consistent operating practices reflective of the credit union strategic objectives and plan - Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
1. Maintain a cohesive, highly trained, motivated staff sufficient to meet daily member service expectations
2. Provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
3. Maintain or exceed annual budgeted performance metrics for the branch, while maintaining or improving the financial stability of the branch.
4. Develop and maintain business partner relationships with the community and area schools by calling on potential SEG's and coordinating branch participation in community activities with the Regional Manager
5. Effectively evaluate the efficiency of the branch and develop specific recommendations for improvements to personnel, facilities, products, pricing, policies, and processes.
6. Meet or exceed the established branch goals and ensure direct reports achieve their individual goals on a consistent basis.
7. Promote a sales culture within the branch by example. Coach and develop employees to identify cross sales opportunities. Note observations of employee performance and coach to employee at minimum, monthly, completing SHARE: The MTC Federal Way observations and scorecards in accordance with the established standards for the program.
8. Complete performance reviews within the prescribed timeframe.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Physical Requirements This position requires frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching at or below shoulder level. Some lifting is required (less than 50 pounds).
