Purpose of Position: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining facility/grounds and injection molding machines and systems that are used in the production of automotive parts and components. This role involves ensuring the efficient and accurate molding of plastic parts and components used in various automotive systems following all MTNA policies and procedures.

Anderson Maintenance - Technician- 1St Shift - $23.56
Purpose of Position: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining facility/grounds and injection molding machines and systems that are used in the production of automotive parts and components. This role involves ensuring the efficient and accurate molding of plastic parts and components used in various automotive systems following all MTNA policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Machine Installation
- Machine Setup and Calibration
- Assist in new equipment setup & calibration
- Support equipment relocation within the facility
- Preventive Maintenance
- Maintain injection machines & related production equipment
- Maintain paint line equipment (Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO), Paint Pit, etc.)
- Inspect of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, air compressors, chillers, power distribution panels
- Troubleshooting and Repairs
- Troubleshoot & make repairs on injection machinery & related production equipment
- Maintain facility and ground needs
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical issues
- Troubleshoot and repair paint line equipment – RTO, fire suppression system, paint pit, etc
- Maintain loading docks & related shipping equipment
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, maintenance repairs, and other maintenance activities, in accordance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Automative Task Force (IATF) standards.
- Follow standard operating procedures for equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and documentation best practices.
- Utilize Microsoft suite software and general computing skills to assist in the documentation process.
- Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating manufacturing machinery
- Operation of heavy equipment such as fork truck, scissor lift, robotics, overhead crane, electrical units etc.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to meet 5S ideologies
- Utilize fall arrest equipment to work at heights reaching and exceeding 40 feet
- Communication
- Escalate production issues caused by equipment within the maintenance department, other impacted departments, and management as needed
- Continuous Improvement
- Analyze production equipment to determine effective countermeasures to minimize downtime and eliminate repeat issues
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong electrical background Alternating Current Direct Current (AC/DC)
- Hydraulic, pneumatic & HVAC understanding
- Injection machine troubleshooting
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred
- Operation of tools & equipment frequently used for repairs
- Mechanically inclined
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Walking/standing for 8 hours daily
- Repetitive motions (bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, lifting, etc.)
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Strong written & communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong prioritization & decision making of tasks
