Position Summary
The HVAC Refrigeration Technician I is an advanced level opportunity on our Facility Operations team. In this role, you will ensure MultiCare patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting facilities across our health system.Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for retrofitting, calibrating, and modifying all facets of environmental control systems
- You will adjust heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment to maintain high operational efficiency
- Collaborate with department management and partner with a service-oriented attitude and professional integrity
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Completion of HVAC Voc/Tech training program
- City of Tacoma Operating Engineer License desirable
- CEM (Certified Energy Manager) desirable
- Accomplished in refrigeration, electric controls, pneumatic controls, pipe fitting, steam, pump, chilling & condensing water systems
- Minimum six (6) years of previous HVAC experience
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in computers and EMCS (Energy Management Control System)
- Valid Washington State driver's license and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $51.51 - $51.51 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
