Job Title: Materials Team Leader
The ideal candidate will lead a team responsible for the receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials in our warehouse.
This role involves directing warehouse employees, communicating with production floor and materials/buyer department to oversee the successful flow of all inbound material, and overseeing the storage, picking, and issuance of raw materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet all scheduled kit-up dates without production requests and prior to due date to flow lane.
- Lead, communicate, and assist with the daily activities of the warehouse team.
- Communicate between Daleville and BV warehouse and production floor for daily production needs.
- Assign daily tasks to warehouse clerks and material handlers.
- Handle all issues with the floor (i.e. missing/lost/faulty components).
- Communicate the needs of production to the warehouse team and assign daily duties.
- Perform data entry in Glovia system including receiving, issuing, transferring material, and marking items as shipped for transferred orders.
- Oversee picked components from stock (as required by pick lists and Addendum Bill of Material, ABMs) to assemble kit up job skid.
- Issue job skids to manufacturing cell leader and collect the cell leader's signature on pick lists and ABMs.
- Keep records of receipts for inventory control and tracking purposes.
- Responsible for inventory control, cycle counts, and inventory control for Buena Vista warehouse and Daleville facility.
- Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- Consistently operate efficiently while abiding by all safety rules and requirements.
- Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
- Train new employees and/or cross train existing employees.
Requirements:
- Has working knowledge of service orders, RMA, RGA, Returns, and RDR.
- Update schedule pick dates.
- Receive Anixter product (wire), Harris (copper), and Weld Shop materials.
- Verify all components have been issued to contract lines prior to closures.
- Daily tasks of updating missing component list for both locations.
- Assist with prepping for inventory counts.
- Research and resolve issues with pack slips.
- Receive all transfer orders.
- Investigate and resolve all shortages.
Hours of Work: Standard work schedules plus overtime and weekend hours will be required to meet production needs.
Salary : $64,000 - $82,000
