Summary
The Truck Driver is responsible for loading, delivering and unloading heavy equipment, do daily safety inspections of the truck equipment, document loads, provide preventative maintenance on trucks and other general service department duties as directed by the Service Manager.
Essential Functions
- Driver – Load, deliver and unload heavy equipment and attachments. Document all loads.
- Maintenance –Provide preventative maintenance on the truck.
- Safety – Administer safety inspections on truck equipment daily. Maintain a safe working environment.
Other Functions
- Assist with other duties assigned and directed by corporate management within the frame work of Murphy Tractor and Equipment Company, Inc.’s objectives.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Able to maintain a valid Class A Driver’s License.
- Able to manage time effectively.
- Able to communicate verbally and in written form effectively as appropriate for the needs of the customer or coworkers.
- Able to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to lift and push a minimum of 50 lbs. frequently. Employee must be able to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, stand, sit and kneel for an extensive amount of time. Able to work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
Education/Work Experience
High school diploma or GED required. At least one year of past experience preferred but not required.
