What are the responsibilities and job description for the Avionics Technician/Installer position at Murray Avionics Inc?

We are looking for a full time avionics technician / installer in Scotia, NY.

Hours and schedule are flexible.

Duties

  • Perform installation, testing, troubleshooting, removal and replacement of aircraft avionics, instruments, and components on various piston and turbine general aviation, corporate, and commercial aircraft
  • Adhere to all FAA, company, and manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and requirements
  • DOT drug and alcohol screens (pre-employment and random) will be required
  • Must possess basic hand tools
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp
  • Ability to work in confined spaces

Preferred

  • 1 or more years experience as an avionics technician
  • Experience using schematics, wiring diagrams, and aircraft manuals
  • Experience using AutoCad and Microsoft Office
  • Airframe and Powerplant License beneficial

Salary commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $45.00 per hour
