Community Engagement Advocate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Engagement Advocate to join our team. As a Community Advocate, you will play a crucial role in educating the public and law enforcement in domestic and sexual violence, promoting public health, and providing administrative support to our organization. Responsibilities:
- Advocate for public health initiatives and raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence
- Develop and deliver engaging presentations and speeches at community events and meetings
- Help manage and coordinate direct service volunteers.
- Collaborate with local organizations and stakeholders to promote community engagement
- Conduct addiction counseling sessions and provide support to individuals in need
- Oversee project management activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and deliverables
- Market our programs and services to increase community participation
- Educate community members on resources available for their specific needs

Experience:
- Previous experience in public health advocacy or related field is preferred
- Proficient in administrative tasks such as scheduling, record keeping, and report writing
- Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Experience in volunteer management and supervision
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.23 - $19.71 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
