What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at My Family Dentist?
We are a private family dental practice in West Sedona that prides ourselves in prioritizing staff and patient satisfaction. We are passionate about providing exceptional dental care and a warm, welcoming patient-centric experience. The right candidate would have a great personality who looks forward to interfacing with patients and staff. We use Cerec Prime scan for fast same day crowns, and clear ortho. We use OpenDental software so familiarity with this is preferred but not required. If you don't know something, just ask =)

Job Type: Full-time (Monday-Thursday, 8am-4pm, Friday is optional) Part time is also an option
Pay: $20 - $25 per hour (with monthly and quarterly bonuses, also holiday pay)
3 weeks PTO a year after 180 days on the job. Will pay for additional training including expanded function duties which comes with raises.

Qualifications and Responsibilities
- Personable, compassionate, energetic, team player who makes patients feel cared for and willing to work
- Find treatment and improvements in patients dental health, and co-diagnose with the doctor to maintain optimal patient flow
- Enter treatment plans and clinical findings
- Ensure proper first new patient introductions with radiographs, intra oral camera pictures,
- Detail-oriented with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal skills
- Organized and professional with an interest in customer care
- Motivated, strong work ethic, reliable, and committed
- Willingness to learn, can-do proactive attitude
- Provide/calculate estimates for dental treatments
- Assist patients with understanding their clinical diagnoses
- Assist with other office duties as requested such as room set up and break down, sterile.
- Practices universal precautions and proper infection control - follow OSHA standards, aseptic technique, and HIPAA according to compliance and programs; abide by all PPE dental practices and standards for clinical staff
