Position Summary:
The Hearing Aid Technician is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for hearing aids and related devices. The ideal candidate will work closely with audiologists, patients, and team members to ensure optimal device performance and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Puretone testing for hearing loss
- Hearing aid fittings and adjustments (as directed by provider)
- Inventory management – orders, receipts, and delivery prep – charging aids, etc.
- Clean & Checks of hearing aids for routine maintenance (by walk-in)
- Assist patients with delivery instructions for routine self-maintenance and care of aids
- Provider calendar optimization to prioritize revenue growth
- Assist with insurance verification and following up on benefits/authorizations
- Assistance with onboarding and pre-qualifying newly scheduled patients.
- Assistance with outbound calling of target lists to self-generate hearing evaluations
- Financing checks and approvals w/patient review for signatures and payment (as directed by provider)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred).
- Prior experience as a Hearing Aid Technician or in a related technical role is a plus.
- Strong technical and mechanical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with computer software and programming tools related to hearing aids.
