What are the responsibilities and job description for the My Vacation Haven- Maintenance Technician position at My Vacation Haven?
Essential Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly inspect any reported maintenance issues to ensure maintenance standards are met. Update appropriate team members of the status of each maintenance call.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections.
- Work orders are documented on a computer. Document the results of the inspections, resolve deficiencies, and write work orders for larger maintenance issues. Inspect for any damages and immediately report to the manager.
- Maintain key control policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Promptly resolve any guest complaints or issues.
- Effectively communicate to other team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:
- 1 year of maintenance experience preferred but not required.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be available to working some holidays, weekends, and work the emergency after hours schedule.
Desired Skills & Competencies:
- Experience within the field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally
- Exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and stand most of the time
- Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation
- Subject to internal and external environmental conditions
