Bartender

Description

As a bartender, you desire to provide an exceptional experiences for our membership and their guests. You are welcoming and accommodating with the ability to educate our members on food and beverage recommendations that we not only meet but exceed their expectations.

1. Warmly greets each member with a smile and understands the importance of name recognition 
2. Anticipate member needs and be willing to go above and beyond to accommodate them
3. Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the Point-of-Sale system accurately and efficiently 
4. Efficiently serve food and beverages in a friendly and courteous manner, offers suggestions on daily menu specials and wine selections based on member and guest preferences 
5. Be present during the entire dining experience to regularly check and refill beverages, clear dishes, and place additional orders
6. Facilitate proper service techniques, such as serving from the left and clearing from the right
7. Perform all opening and closing dining room duties and side work (stocking beverages, polishing, and rolling silverware, etc.)
8. Maintain knowledge of high standard of safety and cleanliness
9. Assist other team members as needed
10. Attend training, menu tastings, and shift meetings Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
11. Requests additional supplies as necessary and stocks the bar.
12. Follows set-up procedures.
13. Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks.
14. Mixes, prepares and serves drinks to members and guests and mixes and prepares drinks ordered by food servers and beverage servers according to the recipes approved by the beverage manager.
15. Collects checks and payment for drinks served.
16. Reports complaints to a manager as soon as they occur.
17. Maintains and cleans bar area and equipment.
18. Maintains records of liquors, beers, wine, and sundries to ensure bar stock is maintained at all times.
19. Maintains daily inventory and records indicating drinks in the greatest demand.
20. Cleans and lock ups the bar area according to prescribed procedures.
21. Carefully follows all laws and club policies and procedures regarding alcoholic beverage service and informs manager if continued service to a member or guest is in question.
22. Serves drinks to members and guests seated at lounge tables in the absence of a beverage server.
23. Continually practices beverage and revenue control procedures.
24. Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
25. Completes other appropriate work assignments as requested by the beverage manager

Requirements

· Excellent communication, hospitable, and interpersonal skills 

· Must be willing to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, and holidays 

· Prior bartending experience preferred 

· Must be at least 21 years old 

· Frequently lift and carry up to 35 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and climb stairs 

· Pre-Employment candidates must pass a thorough background check and drug screen
