Crew Member/Team Member

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and proactive crew member to join the N-Gon team! We are looking for someone who is eager to join us on this journey and grow alongside our expanding team.

As a Crew Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with various operational tasks. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to learn and grow within the restaurant industry while delivering a positive dining experience to our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude, providing excellent service throughout their visit.
• Take accurate orders, answer customer inquiries, and make product recommendations.
• Ensure timely delivery of orders, verifying order accuracy, and resolving any customer concerns promptly.
• Food Preparation and Presentation:
• Assist in food preparation activities, including cutting, chopping, and assembling ingredients according to established recipes and procedures.
• Maintain proper portion control and food quality standards to ensure consistency.
• Present food items attractively and ensure they meet the established presentation guidelines.
• Cleanliness and Sanitation:
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including front-of-house, dining areas, and restrooms.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, following proper food handling and hygiene practices.
• Regularly clean and sanitize utensils, equipment, and surfaces to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
• Order Fulfillment and Cash Handling:
• Assist in cashier duties, accurately processing payments, and providing appropriate change.
• Collaborate with the team to fulfill customer orders efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure cash register and cash handling procedures are followed in accordance with company policies.
• Teamwork and Collaboration:
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and efficient operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and superiors, sharing information and addressing any issues or concerns.
• Support fellow crew members during peak business hours, ensuring a positive and cohesive work environment.

Requirements:

• No prior experience is required; however, experience in the restaurant industry is a plus. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, including those without prior job experience. In the past, we've had high school students join our team and stay with us for several years, growing and developing their skills along the way.
• A positive and friendly attitude with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility in work schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
