Position Purpose:
A RN- Circulator assists surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures. They work outside the operating rooms sterile field by ensuring a clean and sterile environment, prepping for operations, recording surgery proceedings, monitoring surgical staff and tools and managing the delivery of samples and specimens.
Position Duties (not all inclusive)
- Acting as an advocate for the patient before, during and after surgery
- Monitoring and recording the patient's vitals pre-operation.
- Preparing the surgical tools and materials that the surgical team will need during the operation.
- Recording every aspect of an operation, including the names and titles of those performing the surgery, the tools used, the amount of anesthetic a patient received and how long the surgery took.
- Advising the surgical team on potential harm to the patient during surgery
- Assisting surgeons during the surgery if needed
- Escorting patients to the recovery room post-operation
- Cleaning the operating room post-operation

Qualifications
- Texas RN Licensure in good standing w/o restrictions (required)
- AHA CPR (BLS) certification (required)
- AHA ACLS certification (required)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (required)
- Previous Circulating experience strongly preferred.
