The Role


We are seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to play a central role in guiding families through probate, guardianship, and conservatorship matters. This position is ideal for a seasoned paralegal who values ownership of their work, strong client relationships, and high-quality legal support.


You will manage cases from start to finish, serve as a steady point of contact for clients, and work closely with attorneys to ensure matters progress efficiently and accurately.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage probate, guardianship, and conservatorship cases from initiation through resolution
  • Draft and finalize petitions, pleadings, and supporting documents
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely, accurate court filings
  • Prepare attorneys for hearings, including document organization and court-ready materials
  • Communicate directly with clients by phone and email, providing updates and procedural guidance
  • Provide backup client support as needed to maintain a high level of service
  • Maintain organized, accurate records within the firm’s case management system


Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of Georgia probate experience preferred
  • Experience with guardianships and conservatorships required
  • Strong drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in a client-facing role, including sensitive matters
  • Confident managing a high-volume caseload with minimal oversight
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and law firm CRMs (Actionstep or similar)
