Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Montessori Teacher to join our team, providing care and support to children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate love, patience, and respect for children while fostering their independence. Our program serves children ages 16 months to 6 years old. This position is working with toddlers 16 months old through 3 years. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about childhood development and eager to make a positive impact on young learners' lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher(s) in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
- Provide individualized support to children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Engage with children in various activities, including playtime, arts and crafts, and group discussions.
- Monitor children's behavior and implement behavior management strategies as needed.
- Support caregiving tasks such as maintaining a clean classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive environment for all children.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess a GED or high school diploma.
- Meet all health requirements including TB tests, immunizations, and physical examinations.
- Experience working with children.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in early childhood education or caregiving is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- Montessori Assistant Certification
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
