Position Overview
NANO Nuclear Energy is seeking a Corporate Finance Associate to support financial analysis, strategic initiatives, and execution across corporate development, capital planning, and partnership-related activities. This candidate will manage the KRONOS MMR financial strategy. This role is analytical and execution-focused, supporting senior leadership with financial modeling, valuation analysis, and cross-functional coordination.
This position is well suited for a pre-MBA or early post-MBA candidate with foundational experience in banking, consulting, or energy and utilities background, or in a related analytical role who is looking to build exposure to corporate finance, strategy, and capital-intensive technology businesses in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities
Financial Analysis and Modeling
· Build and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, partnerships, and investment decisions.
· Assist with valuation analysis, including comparable company analysis and precedent transactions.
· Support analysis of project economics, cost structures, and capital requirements.
Strategic and Corporate Development Support
· Support the evaluation of strategic opportunities, partnerships, and potential investments.
· Assist with preparation of materials for internal decision-making and external stakeholders.
· Conduct market and industry research to support strategic planning and capital allocation discussions.
Budgeting and Program Financial Support
· Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking activities in coordination with finance and operations teams.
· Assist with tracking program-level costs and financial performance against budgets.
· Help compile financial inputs for proposals, pricing exercises, and partnership discussions.
Cross-Functional Coordination
· Coordinate with engineering, operations, accounting, and business development teams to gather financial inputs and ensure data consistency.
· Support documentation, analysis, and reporting related to ongoing corporate finance and strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or a related field.
· 3-6 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, accounting, business analysis, or a related analytical role.
· Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
· Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational information into clear analyses.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· MBA or advanced degree a plus, but not required
· Prior experience in a startup, technology, energy, infrastructure, aerospace, or defense-adjacent environment.
· Exposure to capital-intensive projects, project finance concepts, or regulated industries.
Work Location
· This position is full-time and on-site at the company’s New York, New York office.
· Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.

Salary Information:
NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
