What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Manager position at Napa Valley Restaurant Group, Inc.?
We are seeking a manager to help oversee and run daily operations in one of the busiest restaurants in Napa. A valley favorite for over 30 years, Bistro Don Giovanni is known for its excellent Italian food and well-paired local and imported wines, as well as a craft cocktail program. The restaurant is in need of an energetic and level-headed manager to complement our strong management team. Benefits and compensation are competitive.
The ideal candidate will have worked in high-volume restaurants, ideally with Italian cuisine, for a minimum of 3 years and have held a management position for at least 2 years. The candidate will be highly professional with a hands-on leadership style and will possess great communication skills and the ability to bring people together. Equally important are a passion for hospitality with wine & liquor knowledge and the desire to train others.
Responsibilities and Expectations include:
- Overseeing opening and/or closing procedures for the restaurant
- Helping ensure high standards in guest service
- Upholding standards in food and beverage quality and safety
- Following proper HR steps for reporting and handling disciplinary issues and incidents
- Assisting with select administrative duties; computer and office skills are a plus
- Being available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays
