What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Coordinator - Payroll, AP, AR position at NARCOG?
NARCOG is accepting applications for a full-time Accounting Coordinator to provide administrative support to our Finance and Administration Department. This position is responsible for efficiently performing high-volume accounting, payroll, expense reimbursements, tax deposits, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, while strictly following agency policies and legal regulations. Responsibilities also include preparing accurate financial reports; assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings; maintaining confidentiality; tracking and meeting deadlines; and adhering to the requirements of multiple federal, state, and local program funding sources. Ability to provide exceptional customer service and collaborate with coworkers, clients, visitors, and suppliers is essential. Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting software and principles is required, including proficiency in the MS Office Suite. Minimum qualifications: experience generally associated with a two-year associates degree or four-year degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field. Three to five years experience in financial and administrative duties, including basic accounting. Applicants are subject to a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol testing. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

This position reports to the NARCOG Director of Finance & Administration.
