About the role: Narrative Strategies is seeking a Level 1 Graphic Designer to create best-in-class visual imagery and join our growing Creative Services team. This position is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of design experience who has a strong proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, loves solving problems through visual solutions, and is ready to support production efforts in a fast-paced, high-performing creative department. 


As a Level 1 Graphic Designer, you’ll work across various account teams, in concert with the broader creative team, to design a wide range of deliverables, including presentations, digital ads, social media graphics, out-of-home advertising, pitches, and more. We’re looking for someone eager to learn, adaptable, and organized with strong time management skills and a willingness to jump in wherever needed to bring ideas to life! 


Core responsibilities: 

Create a variety of deliverables, including presentations, digital ads, social media graphics, out-of-home advertising, pitches, and more. 

Work closely with design and account teams to plan, troubleshoot and execute projects. 

Stay up to date on design trends and relevant software.

Located in, or willing to relocate to, the D.C. area and able to work in person 4 days per week.

About the team: Working in tandem with account teams at Narrative Strategies, Creative Services supports the strategic communications objectives of our clients and their brands through graphic design, video production, and digital advertising. Additionally, we work closely with the marketing team to produce collateral promoting the Narrative brand. We produce high-quality, engaging content that is constructed to inform, inspire, and, when possible, entertain. With clients across healthcare, tech, financial services, energy, and more, our team aims to amplify and empower brands through an innovative approach and commitment to quality. 


Qualifying skills and basic requirements: 

Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in graphic design and visual communications projects, formatting content into visually appealing layouts and across different mediums/channels. 

Proficiency in design-based software, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. 

Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, particularly in their use in executing design. 

Basic understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy 

Ability to take and implement feedback. 

Positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and a desire to grow as a designer.
