Accounts Receivable Manager

Nassau Candy is a premier importer, manufacturer, and distributor of specialty confections, fine foods, and promotional products.

We are currently seeking a well-rounded Accounts Receivable Manager onsite in Hicksville to oversee the daily activities of the accounts receivable department, ensuring the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise, train and mentor collection teams
• Document and implement debt collection policies and regulations of the company
• Conduct credit checks on new and potential customers according to company policies and procedures
• Stay informed of customer circumstances in order to strengthen and protect the company’s financial position
• Ensure timely collection of payments, including getting involved with the collection process as needed
• Prepare and analyze reports on collections
• Regularly provide reporting feedback and communication updates to CFO and CEO
• Manage the negotiation and collection process with customers in the cases of nonpayment
• Assist with other duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum 7 years’ experience as an accounts receivable manager or supervisor
• Experience in a manufacturing / distribution environment a plus
• Exceptional record keeping, Excel, and overall systems skills
• Strong detail orientation and analytical aptitude
• Excellent communication and people management skills
• Experience with ERP conversions a plus
