What are the responsibilities and job description for the Document Specialist position at Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union?
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union to live out its Service Mission, “Improving the financial well-being of each Member and the communities we serve,” by providing outstanding service to both Members and internal Members. In addition, ensuring accurate quality control of loan documents. Responsible for properly maintaining share and consumer loan information on the computer system and all follow-up paperwork to ensure the accuracy of processing returned mail.
- Effectively communicate with co-workers and/or Members as needed to accomplish tasks.
- Ensure all new real estate loans are received, reviewed, imaged, and filed appropriately.
- Maintain accountability for all real estate-related Member loan files.
- Ensure all lien perfection procedures are followed on all collateralized loans and update statuses in our core system appropriately.
- Responsible for maintaining the Title Lien Perfection Report.
- Handle all FDI Lien filing errors.
- Contact Members on an as-needed basis to request proper documentation
- Liaison for all DMV contact in filing liens.
- Responsible for forwarding all insurance policies and cancellations to the Collateral Protection Insurance vendor for processing.
- Input and index various documents into Nassau Financial’s Imaging System.
- Research and retrieve Member documents as requested by various departments via various Nassau Financial FCU document storage technologies.
- Process all subpoena documents received in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain oversight for lending department cabinets in the file room.
