Description
We are looking for a Senior Quality Manager that will lead and elevate our quality assurance and food safety programs in a fast-paced, high-standard environment. As a leader in the premium juice industry, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional, fresh, and natural products to consumers. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while aligning with our brand’s commitment to excellence and sustainability.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
- Quality Management System (QMS):
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s QMS in accordance with GFSI (e.g., SQF, BRC), HACCP, and FSMA requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights (e.g., SPC, root cause analysis, CAPA).
- Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other relevant regulations.
- Lead third-party audits, inspections, and certification renewals.
- Oversee sanitation, allergen controls, and preventive controls programs.
- Product Quality Oversight:
- Define and monitor product quality specifications, including taste, color, consistency, packaging, and shelf life.
- Collaborate with R&D and Operations for new product introductions and process validations.
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals across production shifts.
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and food safety throughout the organization.
- Supplier Quality Management:
- Audit and evaluate raw material and packaging suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Establish quality agreements and monitor supplier performance.
- Customer & Consumer Focus:
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions with a focus on brand protection.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 8 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a quality leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, GMPs, and GFSI standards.
- Experience with premium beverages or juice products is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in quality management tools and systems.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
- Certification in PCQI, HACCP, SQF/BRC, or similar preferred.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 8 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
