What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer position at Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home?
Description: The purpose of this job is to enforce the rules, policies and regulations of the institutions as they relate to employees and other persons. Patrols the building and grounds of the Hospital and Nursing Home and the Medical Arts Building to observe, prevent and report fire, theft, vandalism, accidents and unauthorized entry.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prefer an Associate’s degree in Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security or related field.
- Possess New York State Security Guard registration. New York State Emergency Medical Technician preferred.
- Possess two (2) years prior experience in a security position. Must have completed eight (8) hour Security Officer pre-assignment training course.
- Prefer experience in a healthcare facility.
