What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, BUILD-PAC Fundraising position at National Association of Home Builders?

NAHB is seeking a creative, well-organized and experienced fundraising manager for NAHB’s federal political action committee, BUILD-PAC. This position will work on a fundraising team to increase PAC receipts and participation from NAHB’s membership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with PAC Trustees and member volunteers to plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns in assigned states across the country.
- Recruiting new and maintaining current donors for two of BUILD-PAC’s high donor clubs.
- Managing and administering benefits to two of BUILD-PAC’s high donor clubs during NAHB’s Leadership Meetings.
- Working with several of NAHB’s councils and committees to increase participation.
- Drafting and sending various PAC communications to members.
- Assisting and managing additional special fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and expertise in fundraising campaign development and management
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Understanding of the federal legislative process, the purpose of political action committees and knowledge of FEC regulations and campaign finance laws
- Ability to balance a heavy workload with competing deadlines
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in fundraising or political work.
- Knowledge of Capitol Hill, PAC administration, and/or trade associations.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in education and experience.
- Some travel will be required.
