Job Summary: This position directly oversees all aspects of the Hall of Fame warehouse operation including receiving, fulfillment, shipping and inventory management functions. Responsible for managing a staff of 3-4 full-time hourly employees and up to 6-8 part-time staff.
Principle Qualifications: Ability to manage, mentor and direct a staff of full and part time employees. Should possess strong interpersonal communication skills and be comfortable working collaboratively with a variety of functional areas within the museum including museum store, retail purchasing, customer service, accounting and membership staff. Willingness to take ownership of the warehouse operation, exhibiting an ability to work independently with strong problem solving skills.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:This is a 35 hour a week, full-time position. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Hire full-time and part-time warehouse staff coordinating with the Human Resources department to ensure all hiring processes and procedures are completed in a timely manner.
- Develop and document training guidelines for all warehouse functions and tasks to maximize the productivity and efficiency of the warehouse operation.
- Schedule and oversee all warehouse staff to meet daily workload demands as efficiently as possible.
- Perform periodic cycle counts throughout the year (more frequently after the summer season) to maintain accurate inventory counts in the retail POS system, making adjustments as needed.
- Ensure all product deliveries are received into the retail POS system accurately as reflected in the receiving reports, and that the proper adjustments are made for returns, damages and errors.
- Maintain inventory pull sheets and the bulk item spreadsheet for accuracy to ensure efficient flow of inventory from the warehouse to the museum store.
- Assist with year-end inventory process to include the physical counting of inventory, identifying discrepancies and helping to find causes of the discrepancies.
- Maintain the accuracy of inventory item locations in the POS system, including making notations if items are only available for order fulfillment from museum store stock.
- Monitor the fulfillment of online orders for accuracy.
- Order labels, tags, key recs, packing tissue and other supplies as needed.
- Review and approve all warehouse employee timecards and time-off requests.
- Attending departmental and organizational meetings as scheduled.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist fulfillment and shipping area with the processing of online orders.
- Work as needed during Hall of Fame signature events – HOF Classic Weekend and Induction Weekend.
- Other duties as assigned.·

- Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs.

Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma and 3 years relevant warehouse management or supervisory experience managing hourly employees.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associates degree in business or materials management and 5 years relevant warehouse management experience managing hourly employees.
