What are the responsibilities and job description for the Copier Service Technician position at National Business Technologies?
Service and repair a copiers and printers at customer locations within the region.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Must be able to problem solve, good written and verbal communication, read comprehensive technical information
- Maximize equipment up-time through timely response and effective/efficient repair up to and including selective customer training to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Manage the utilization of all assets and resources to achieve expected NATIONAL service goals such as but not limited to First Call Efficiency, Call Backs, Hold for Parts, training, and inventory management
- Utilization of all assets and resources (managers, team members, vendor support) to ensure expedient and the highest quality service and repair for all NATIONAL customers
- Analyze customer needs, recognize business opportunities and respond accordingly to positively influence Customer/NATIONAL relationship
- Onsite at first call or NATIONAL no later than 8:00AM and end day no sooner than 5:00PM
- Communicate and interact with customers, service technicians, sales, management and administration in a way that is professional and courteous
- Complete administrative aspects on time to include service call information such as remarks, parts, and meter reading
- Work closely with sales to find ways to provide customer solutions and promote growth within the organization
- Perform other activities that support NATIONAL and our service organization

Prerequisites (i.e. education, experience):
- Prior experience with exceptional performance in maintenance and repair of office equipment
- The candidate must have proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Software
- Basic knowledge of networking, including basic IT skills related to connecting MFPs
- Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work full time and overtime when needed
- Must have no restrictions as to lifting, walking and bending
Toughest Part of Job:
- Working independently, managing time and call load
- Large variety of equipment that you will be working on
- Fast paced environment during high volume periods
- Willingness to work outside of the normal 8am to 5pm hours
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
