Nelnet’s corporate communications team is dedicated to facilitating and enhancing communications that educate, inform, inspire, and engage associates. The specialist role is an integral part of Nelnet’s internal communications team, managing Nelnet’s weekly newsletter process as well as creating clear, engaging communications so associates have the awareness, understanding, commitment, and opportunity to perform at their best! The role also requires excellent proofreading skills, with the ability to quickly spot and fix a mistake. Responsibilities Writing, creating, organizing, and distributing internal weekly newsletters and news articles that support the organization and align with corporate communications strategy and brand standards Leading, developing, and maintaining content for the company intranet including creation of new pages and news articles Engaging regularly with executive leaders and supporting leader and associate communications across multiple channels with consistent messaging Ensuring leaders and key influencers regularly contribute content to digital platforms Partnering and collaborating with business areas to determine communication needs Responding to and prioritizing requests for content creation, posting, and functionality Aiding in reviewing and copyediting content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand standards Utilizing and helping to maintain the corporate communications content planner Actively seeking out inspirational stories and connections to purpose through leaders and associates Working on special projects as needed Pay Range for this position is-$40k-45k Required Qualifications Passion for writing with exceptional editing and interpersonal communication skills. Strong writing skills are a must. Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a positive attitude Creative but comfortable with some repetitive work Organized with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills Extremely strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality Must be enthusiastic and self-driven about learning and using modern technology and communication platforms.
