National Grid is seeking an Engineer that can work out of Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo or Brooklyn.
This is a hybrid position with office visits at least 1-2 times a week..US Colleagues must reside within our existing footprint, which includes contiguous states (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont).

To lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives of the enterprise wide electricity distribution and transmission.
- Participate in the development, implementation and management of new technologies or automation of existing technologies.
- Engage appropriately as a with specified stakeholders, government agencies, consenting authorities and media within the development phases of a project.
- Input to the development of the engineering perspective of new business concepts.
- Complete the definition of technical specifications in relation to a range of technologies.
- Determine the options to be considered for the project at initiation to satisfy the need case for investment.
- Ensure that a robust basis of design is produced for each scheme which documents the reasons for the investment, the options considered, costs and program.
- Able to motivate, counsel, coach, and develop direct reports and others.
- Experience establishing clearly defined goals and standards of employee performance.
- A Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or science is required.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineer or Computer Science.
- Advanced degree, Professional License (PE) or certification is a plus
Salary - Upper State New York
$83,000 - $98,000 a year
Salary - Down State New York
$99,000-$117,000
