The Engineer will perform engineering evaluation of the Gas Transmission System assets and components including integrity assessments, risk management, data collection and analysis, performance tracking, asset replacement reviews, records management, and fitness for service reviews. This role will assist in implementation of a comprehensive Transmission Integrity Management Program consistent with existing and proposed regulations for over 1200 miles of intrastate natural gas transmission pipelines.
- Conduct engineering review and analysis of integrity related system issues such as failure analysis, fit for service analysis, process safety assessments, metallurgical anomalies in pipeline systems and As-built documents verification.
- Provide technical support for cathodic protection, defect assessment and repairs of gas transmission pipelines and update procedures where necessary.
- Assist to analyze metallurgical anomalies in pipeline systems and provide engineering support for NDE, In-Situ Field Testing and maintain register of existing pipelines and corresponding linear attributes.
- Identification of pipeline risk and development of long term and short-term mitigation strategies based on risk management and risk modeling utilizing PHA, LOPA, QRA and other risk analysis tools and models.
- Assist to track and report on key performance indicators (KPI) related to critical asset classes and performregulatory reporting on pipeline assets.
- Perform Project development, management, Cost estimating and tracking, project close out associated with Capital Constructionprojects.
- Able to travel overnight outside of normal work area and work overtime including nights/weekends/holidays for emergencies or other special projects.
* ABET accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline is required. Position aligns closest to Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical or
Material Science Engineering discipline.
* 1 years of gas-related experience preferred
* 1 years of gas transmission experience preferred
* EIT/FE Certificate preferred
* AWS certification preferred
* Knowledge of cathodic protection experience or NACE certification preferred
* Knowledge of Risk Management, Risk Assessment, and Risk Mitigation preferred
* Knowledge of mapping systems experience preferred, especially with GIS (Smallworld, ESRI, Arc-Fm; Arc-GIS)
* Knowledge with pipeline assessment methods: External Corrosion Direct Assessment (ECDA), Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment (ICDA) & Inline Inspection
(ILI) is preferred.

Salary - $115,000 - $135,000
