Role and Responsibilities
The Onboarding Specialist will work with the Onboarding Supervisor to support new hires through every step of onboarding into their new role with the company. This role is an integral part of our Employee Experience team and will help us drive company growth while ensuring a positive employee experience and compliance with all applicable laws and industry standards. Responsibilities will include:
- Act as a point of contact for new hires to answer questions and to drive their engagement throughout the steps of the onboarding process while providing a positive candidate experience
- Coordinate and complete required background checks for new hires
- Send out employment documents online through our HRIS and assist new hires with completion as required
- Process I9’s and E-Verify accurately and timely
- Coordinate interdepartmental communication to ensure onboarding flows smoothly and new hires have what they need for successful Orientation on day one of work
- Present company policy and procedure information to new hires
- Data entry of new hire information into HRIS
- Other duties as required
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School diploma required
- 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources or Recruiting environment, with a working understanding of HR principles, practices and procedures
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent data entry skills and a strong attention to detail
- Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now is a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to develop presentations and deliver to groups
- Intellectual curiosity with a drive to deliver solutions
- Self-motivated, with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
