Wellness Coordinator - School Health Services

The Wellness Coordinator collaborates with school nurses, school administration, and clinical teams to plan, organize, and implement school-based health transportation plans that expand health care access. The coordinator provides day-to-day coordination, scheduling, and logistics pertaining to school health transportation process, and travels between schools regularly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the scheduling of patients who need health care appointments at school based health centers.
• Provides excellent customer service and collaborates to identify students who need health care appointments.
• Partners with school district transportation to transport students as needed between school and the school-based health center.
• Participates in the ongoing development of transportation plans.
• Obtains, organizes, and communicates patient information such as parental consent, basic demographics, and insurance information.
• Coordinates with marketing and communications teams to create promotional materials necessary to reach intended audiences.
• Supports School Health Liaisons and clinical teams in school-based and community outreach.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or education field preferred.

Required Experience:

• Licensure: Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Analytical and technological ability necessary to gather organize and communication a large amount of information.
• Demonstrated evidence of group process skills with evidence of interdisciplinary program planning.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer software.
• Experience with public speaking.

Preferred Experience:

• 3 to 5 years experience in program planning or project management. 3 to 5 years experience providing health-related education to youth.
