Nationwide Housing Corporation has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician at our townhome community in Fairmont, MN.

Responsibilities:
- Provide all residents with exceptional customer service
- Complete all work orders in an efficient and timely manner
- Problem solve work orders and think outside the box
- Perform apartment turnover repairs and inspections
- Identify common area repairs (such as touch-up painting, beeping alarm batteries, fixture replacement, etc.) and fix quickly.
- Coordinate and direct special projects
- Order all needed materials and supplies
- Work with and communicate with onsite vendors
- Be available for emergency troubleshooting & repairs.
- Ensures the grounds and buildings are well maintained.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years residential/apartment/commercial maintenance experience (preferred)
- Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electric, carpentry & general maintenance.
- Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative.
- Ability to multitask/stay on task & maintain focus in stressful situations.
- Ability to work effectively individually and as a team member.
- Must have knowledge of planned maintenance principles, practices and techniques
- Ability to repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors
- Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems
- Boiler license (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License (required)
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
This position is Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends for on call emergencies.
