Job Summary:
As a Digital Advertising Advisor you will work with approximately 50 retailers to manage all aspects of their digital advertising in order to help their business succeed. Nearly all our work is conduced remotely with customers (i.e. over the phone, email and screen share).
Your primary responsibility is to build a relationship with each of your clients. You must clearly understand their goals and objectives. You will use this knowledge to build, execute and monitor digital advertising campaigns in our proprietary AdRocket software.
Some of our clients are brand new to digital advertising – these clients are going to require some education, hand-holding and guidance as they venture into a new area for their business. Others have been using digital advertising in their businesses for some time – these clients need insight, perspective, analysis and new ideas to move their business forward. All our clients need your help clearly understand their ROI and when increases to their budget can help their business thrive.
To succeed in this job, you must be really good at building and maintaining long term relationships with customers in a virtual world. You must have a relentless focus on details, deadlines and results – you must always keep track of what you have to do, by when and then make sure it gets done. You will need to be proficient in digital advertising. Likewise, you must be excited to learn a fairly sophisticated piece of proprietary software that changes frequently (the AdRocket software). Lastly, you need to be the kind of person who enjoys the search for ways to improve the performance of the next advertising campaigns based on the results of the last one.
This job does not require graphic design skills. You will be backed up by a full design department that can create the ad creative you need to meet your clients need.
This job does not require you to sell new accounts. Our sales team handles the finding and selling of customers (most of our customers have been doing business with our company for years and years and already know us well). You will be responsible for customer retention and maintaining / increasing your clients’ digital marketing spend month over month.
This job does not involve travel (outside of possibly attending one or two trade shows per year). Nearly all of our work is done via phone, email and screen share.
This job does require you to have a firm understanding of digital marketing along with prior experience running successful campaigns.
Job Responsibilities:
First 30 Days: Learn the proprietary AdRocket software and digital marketing fundamentals
Complete training in our proprietary AdRocket software -- training provided. Become AdWords™ certified – training provided.
Note: As part of the training process, you may participate in various aspects AdRocket promotions. You will also receive some training on our other products, including WebFronts® and RetailDeck®.
First 60 Days: Onboard, setup and launch the initial advertising plan for new retailers
We are selling at a rapid rate and have retailers ready to get started with digital advertising. You will need to get to know them and get them up and running.
The number of retailers assigned to you that are setup, onboarded and launched with AdRocket (your baseline goal is to have at least twenty-five in the first sixty days)
Ongoing: Provide regular guidance, support, analysis and execution for your clients
As you onboard your clients, you will be responsible for a monthly rhythm with each client. Each month you will need to assess each client’s needs, build/update their advertising plan, execute and monitor the plan and then report on performance. You will need to provide analysis and insight to the client each month in a way that clearly articulates the value AdRocket is delivering to their business. Customer retention and overall spend growth will be key performance metrics.

Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
- 2-3 years of digital advertising related experience; agency experience is a plus
- Current certifications in Google Ads
Work Environment:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
