We are a Transportation company seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Safety Coordinator/Recruiter to join our team in Omaha, NE. This is a dual-role position ideal for someone who is passionate about safety and skilled in identifying and onboarding top talent.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Coordination
- Monitor and enforce Hours of service compliance.
- Conduct regular safety audits, training sessions.
- Maintain accurate safety records and reports
- Serve as a resource for all safety-related questions and concerns across departments
Recruitment
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for driving positions.
- Coordinate and schedule Travel and lodging for new hires.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience from application to onboarding
- Maintain recruiting databases, social media and generate reports on hiring metrics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in safety coordination and/or recruitment preferred but not required will train
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office, email platforms and social media platforms as well)
- Strong interpersonal skills – must be outgoing and able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
