What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evaluator I position at Native American Health Center?

POSITION SUMMARY
The Evaluator I will work closely with the Program Manager (PM) program evaluation, data management and analysis of the Emergency Response Suicide Prevention grant.
The Evaluator will oversee data collection and evaluation activities, as well as perform analysis, write up results, support implementation of evaluation plans, and lead knowledge dissemination/translation activities.

The Native American Health Center is an accredited institution and adheres to the standards of excellence set forth by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health
Care (AAAHC) and the Commission of Dental Accreditation (CODA).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluation and Data Analysis
1. Draft surveys and data collection instruments. Lead and support management of data collection, tracking, and evaluation efforts (both local & national) for program deliverables and due dates for multiple projects.

2. Support overall data and evaluation management structure for the department.
Provide direct support to PM and Evaluators to implement aspects of evaluation plans such as administering surveys at community events, reviewing questionnaires, facilitating evaluation advisory board meeting as needed.

3. Analyze findings and data from multiple sources.
4. Responsible for designing process and outcome evaluations, qualitative and quantitative data collection and collaborating community organizations for various
NAHC projects.

Knowledge Translation – Reports, Publications, Presentations

2. Prepare evaluation and data reports; include results in local reports, presentations, and applications for supplemental funding.
3. Write sections of reports for the department, including monthly reports for project team meetings, quarterly, annual, and bi annual reports for funding agencies, and other reporting needs as they arise.

4. Responsible for presenting and disseminating progress notes and evaluation results at grantee meetings, community gatherings, for NAHC Administration and the Board of Directors when requested.

5. Write, as needed epidemiologic data profiles, on-going grant reports to program funders and research papers.

Community/Patient Relationships and CBPR
1. Work closely with staff and program managers to ensure meaningful participation by family, youth and community members in all evaluation processes via design, data collection, interpretation, and dissemination of findings.

2. Work with collaborating agencies involved in projects to streamline and improve data collection and information systems.

3. Attend funder, grantee, and collaborative meetings
4. Patient Care: Demonstrate understanding and apply working knowledge of safety policies and ensuring safe patient practices.
5. Work with staff and community to identify and develop projects that respond to community needs.

Staff: Supervision, Training, Representation & Collaboration
1. Training and supervision of new hires, students and interns
2. Work in tandem with PM in program implementation, evaluation plan implementation and meeting grant objectives and goals
General Duties
1. Additional duties as assigned by Program Manager.
2. Member Care: Demonstrate understanding and apply working knowledge of safety policies and ensuring safe member practices.
3. Employee Safety: Safely performs all duties; follows required protective protocols to ensure personal safety as well the safety of others.
4. Must maintain compliance with ergonomic safety standards; be mindful of posture and regularly practice ergonomic stretches.

5. Quality Improvement: Actively participate in internal quality improvement teams and work with members proactively to drive quality improvement initiatives in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards, when assigned.

6. HIPAA: Keep all protected health information (PHI) confidential and abide by
HIPAA policies for the release and disclosure of any PHI. Will report unauthorized use of disclosure of PHI immediately, to supervisor or HIPAA security officer.

7. Work well under pressure, meet multiple and often competing deadlines.
8. At all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with supervisors, subordinates, colleagues, clients and the community.
9. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master’s Degree in Public Health or related field with 2 years of experience.
2. Possess strong understanding and knowledge in the area of mental health field and program administration.
3. Vaccination Level 1: Must be able to provide TB, Physical, seasonal flu and proof of Vaccination immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, TDAP &
Hepatitis B, prior to start date. If vaccination records are more than 10 years old, titers are required to confirm immunity.

4. BLS/CPR certification must be obtained prior to start date and kept current at all times.

5. Excellent writing skills.
6. Good interpersonal and computer skills.
7. Strong knowledge of statistical software. (SPSS – level II)
8. Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
9. Experience working with low income, culturally diverse population in a culturally competent manner.
10. Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the unique cultural factors with the Native community.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
