Position's Purpose
In coordination with the Department Manager, Supervise multiple Irrigation Technicians to ensure contracted work is performed within budget, safety guidelines and quality standards. Assist Irrigation Techs in carrying out their duties while guiding and managing their performance to achieve Department and Company goals.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and train Irrigation Technicians to meet quality and efficiency standards, safety standards, customer service standards and sales goals.
- Ensure assigned team is trained in and uses company mobile applications as appropriate for their position.
- Train Irrigation Techs in safe and proper operation of tools and equipment.
- Participate in performance reviews and provide effective feedback to direct reports.
- Directly perform a portion of sold work assigned to the Department either independently or in collaboration with other Company personnel, including but not limited to Irrigation System inspects/adjusts, System evaluations, and Irrigation repairs and upgrades.
- Manage assigned projects or services from start to finish and ensure they are completed to meet established goals, production deadlines, quality standards and customer expectations.
- Lead snow removal crews during Winter months to meet quality and production standards.
- 5 years experience in Irrigation Installation, Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Repairs (preferred)
- 2 years experience in Irrigation Service Supervision (preferred)
- Valid driver's License with driving record acceptable to Company's insurance carrier
- ASSE Backflow Testing Certification (required within 12 months of hire, Company paid)
- Proficient understanding of standard Irrigation practices
- Proficient use of required technology and applications/programs
- Ability to effectively communicate in English language (Bilingual in Spanish a plus)
- Ability to operate various types of Irrigation and Landscapes equipment including snow removal equipment
- Legally authorized to work in the United States. We are an EEOC employer and participate in E-Verify.
