What are the responsibilities and job description for the Produce Coordinator position at Nature's Wonders?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Produce Coordinator will oversee the produce section for Nature’s Wonders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Orders produce.
Sets produce and arranges in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
Soaks, trims, etc. to maintain life and integrity of produce.
Removes expired produce and culls from inventory as needed.
Enters invoices into Catapult and keeps pricing current.
Updates signage and prices in front of produce.
Samples produce items regularly.
Submits ideas, specials for social media/marketing.
Keeps the walk-in cooler and produce back stock shelf clean and organized.
Works with Director of Purchasing to maintain spending budget.
Works with vendors and representatives to maximize spending budget.
Cleans produce cooler regularly.
Assists with cashier and barista duties as needed.
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at one time.
The ability to move freely around your workspace.
Sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, bending, crawling, and climbing may be necessary physical requirements for this position.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
