Job Requirements:
This position is for an entry level laborer at the Naval Reactors Facility. The primary duties of the position will be janitorial. Successful applicant would provide general labor support to all NRF organizations, with the primary duties being janitorial.
Laborer support includes, but is not limited to: janitorial, snow removal, lawn care, furniture moves, radiological controlled work, and hazardous materials handling.
- Physical demands of this position include being able to lift >40 lbs, climb and perform work on ladders, operate power tools, e.g.; sawzall, porta-band, grinder, drill motor.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces, work at heights grater than 4 feet, operate small tractors, and work in inclement weather.
- You will be required to work any assigned shift according to production needs.
- You will be required to qualify as a Contamination worker of radiological work, which requires a written and practical examination.
- Other required qualifications include, but are not limited to: Asbestos class 4 worker or Asbestos Supervisor, category 3 waste worker, fall protection, man-lift operator, lockout - tagout, radiological glovebag/glovebox worker, radiological drape/catch worker, radiological wet-suit/bubble-hood worker, respirator user and radiological vacuum operator.
