Position Overview
The Business Team Lead role directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Responsibilities
- Develops material delivery routes and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering
- Demonstrate problem solving resolution, root cause analysis and corrective action to resolve and prevent production interruptions
- Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems
- May assist with the establishment and maintenance of inventory control system
- Develops and evaluates personnel to ensure efficiency of operation functions
- Allocates staffing and coverage, foresee production issues and diminish downtime
- Drive Safety improvements, behaviors and strong culture of safety in Supply Chain
- Communicate across multiple functions including General Assembly, Quality, Engineering and other production departments in manufacturing plant to ensure production goals are met
- Develops 5’s schedules and maintains 5’s in assigned stations
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 6 years of production/manufacturing experience
- 1 year lead experience
OR
- Master’s degree
- At least 4 years of production/manufacturing experience
- 1 year lead experience
OR
- At least 8 years of production/manufacturing experience
- 1 year lead experience
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
