Industrial Construction Manager

We are actively seeking a Construction Manager Associate to join our team. This position reports directly to the Senior Construction Manager and plays a crucial role in the design, planning, and execution of construction projects for facilities across North America so bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. The role is key in ensuring that all construction projects meet Navistar standards and comply with safety and insurance requirements.

• Manages the entire lifecycle of facility construction from design through completion, including the creation of detailed scopes of work that adhere to our stringent standards.
• Responsible for the planning, budgeting, and scheduling of facility modifications, providing accurate estimates for equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs.
• Oversees the allocation of building space, arrangement of communication services, and management of facility expansions.
• Maintains oversight of health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory codes throughout the construction process.
• Coordinates and supervises construction teams and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality and contractual performance.
• Regularly reviews project progress, updates job statuses through internal and external reports, and manages project deliverables and timelines.
• Acquires all necessary construction permits and licenses, and effectively manages and mitigates project risks.
• Works closely with internal departments to secure approvals, capital funding, and purchase orders for all project-related expenditures.
• Processes and challenges change orders and approves contractor invoices for payment.

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 6 years of industrial construction or project management experience
• At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

• Master’s degree
• At least 4 years of industrial construction or project management experience
• At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

• At least 8 years of industrial construction or project management experience
• At least 1 year of lead experience

• Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills, with highly developed written and verbal communication abilities
• Extensive project management experience, with a thorough understanding of construction administration processes including contracts, budgets, construction documents, and scheduling
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple, overlapping projects ensuring they meet budget, timeline, and quality standards
• Strong organizational skills, capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and familiar with the latest construction technologies
