Job Title: Telemetry Monitor TechnicianLocation: New York, NY 10029Contract Duration: 13 weeks (with possible extension)Shift Options:7:00 AM – 3:00 PM3:00 PM – 11:00 PM11:00 PM – 7:00 AMSchedule: Monday – FridayPosition OverviewThe Telemetry Monitor Technician is responsible for providing continuous and accurate cardiac monitoring for patients in an acute care setting. This role requires strong ECG interpretation skills, the ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening rhythm changes, and effective communication with the clinical care team to support patient safety and quality outcomes.ResponsibilitiesPerform continuous ECG and telemetry monitoringAnalyze ECG strips and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmiasIdentify abnormal or potentially life-threatening rhythm changes and notify clinical staff immediatelyInitiate and assist during code situations, including accurate rhythm documentationPerform electrocardiograms (EKGs) with proper electrode placement in various care settingsRespond appropriately to all monitor alarmsTroubleshoot telemetry and monitoring equipment to ensure proper functionCommunicate clearly and professionally with charge nurses, physicians, and healthcare team membersEnter and verify patient orders in electronic systemsRetrieve laboratory results and report findings to the charge nurseEnsure documentation meets organizational standards and regulatory requirementsSafely operate and manage monitoring and medical equipmentRequired Skills & ExperienceProficiency with MS Office SuiteStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environmentExcellent communication and teamwork skillsEducation RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)Certifications RequiredBasic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)Completion of a Dysrhythmia CourseFor more details reach at vgill@navitassols.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1203.About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
