What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIGITAL MARKETING COORDINATOR position at Navy Exchange Service Command?
Job Summary: Works closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and Marketing Strategy Communications Manager on day-to-day basis. Is responsible for developing and maintaining online marketing strategies to build and drive traffic both online and in store. Focus on customer awareness acquisition and retention using marketing analytics affiliate marketing partnerships search engine marketing social media marketing and other marketing communications as needed. Collaborate with internal and external marketing groups merchandising departments and IT departments to accomplish goals and ensure consistency of NEX brand across channels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate cross-channel marketing efforts including (but not limited to) social media, email, search engine, and pay per click (PPC) to strategically support overall marketing and sales objectives.
- Maintain brand consistency by working with other marketing departments and coordinate cross-channel messaging, advertising and promotions.
- Works with the Digital Marketing Manager and Marketing Communications Coordinator to develop, schedule, launch and analyze email campaigns.
- Develop understanding of retail and marketing best practices to drive and optimize webstore traffic; identify, evaluate, and introduce emerging online marketing techniques and technologies into marketing program.
- Develop and launch social media strategies and content.
- Design, build and maintain our social media presence- including organic and paid strategies.
- Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
- Collaborate with Marketing Communications department to ensure delivery of all marketing activity within agreed-upon budget.
- Collaborate with Marketing Insights department to evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data, and implement marketing plan changes as needed.
- Plan and execute all web, SEM, social media and display advertising campaigns.
- Expand the (NEXCOM) pay-per-click and retargeting ads and test the ROI.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the paid digital accounts, continually optimizing the accounts and allocating the budget effectively to achieve effective returns.
- Expand our use of social media postings and advertisements.
- Use statistical analysis to continually measure and report on the ROI of all marketing campaigns.
- Drive marketing innovation through tests and iterations with measurable results.
- Collaborate with NEXCOM Public Affairs office for the achievement of frequent, timely and positive media coverage for myNavyExchange.com.
- Respond to customer questions and complaints in a timely manner.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Total of four years of combined experience.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience gained in digital marketing, retail sales, or other related responsible work that enabled the applicant to gain knowledge of digital marketing and customer service for a retail enterprise. And one year of specialized experience, as indicated below.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: One year of related academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a four-year bachelor's degree for three years of general experience.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of experience that provided background in digital marketing for brands and/or retail environments.
