Responsibilities
- Develops and implements business analytics strategies designed to meet Navy Federals digital channel goals
- Evaluates high level metrics and detailed analysis to trend online and mobile channel performance
- Selects appropriate measurement methodology to determine incremental results for new activities in online and mobile channels
- Employs advanced statistics and data mining techniques to provide insightful analyses and improve member experience
- Monitors macro-economic trends, design trends, and media market environment
- Oversees the completion of essential proactive and ad-hoc analysis
- Ensures extensive collaboration with the digital channel teams, strategic partners, senior leadership, and project management teams
- Collaborates with team members to establish digital channel goals, objectives, and future opportunities
- Leverages analytics and analyses to assist in guiding the digital strategy with a focus on business objectives and actionable plans
- Leads the efforts in developing and measuring key performance indicators, reports progress to leadership
- Makes recommendations based on analyses of the digital channel member interaction overlaid with the business strategy to determine improvement opportunities
- Develops and submits reports and makes recommendations for digital banking initiatives to leadership
- Ensures effective project management/delivery of analytics projects
- Develops processes to ensure online tracking, timely communications, and offer fulfillment
- Recommends new ways to enhance online and mobile channels
- Derives appropriate action recommendations and works in partnership with business units to ensure implementation
- Ensures accurate process and methodology is documented
- Manages and appropriately prioritizes multiple overlapping projects
- Actively participates in cross-functional team activities, provides expertise on data types / sources, offering original perspectives and conventional views
- Regularly produces and reviews operational reports on overall online and mobile channel results
- Assists with selection and development of staff
- Assists with selection of lower-level staff, provides input on performance evaluations, mentors, and trains staff to ensure continuing skills development
- Provides input and oversight of budget requirements, report variances and recommends adjustments to budget that support business needs and goals
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Demonstrated experience using website analytic tools such as Adobe/Omniture, SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics or other third-party tools
- Demonstrated understanding of usability/web design principles
- Demonstrated understanding of principles and practical application of statistical analysis and reporting
- Working knowledge of the product management life cycle
- Advanced knowledge of product/marketing trends and related environmental considerations
- Advanced knowledge of analysis (path analysis, funnel behavior, ROI calculations, customer profiling, segmentation analysis and use of design of experiments to structure tests)
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements relationships
- Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing, fast-paced work environment
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Excellent judgment, analytical and decision-making skills
- Outstanding verbal, written communication, and data presentation skills
- Demonstrated direct/database marketing skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the proven ability to establish and maintain effective
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Operations Research, or related field of study
- Experience in developing and managing marketing/business analyses
- Bachelors or advanced degree in quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering
