Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist/Insurance Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience and proficiency in all aspects of handling dental insurance. Your ability to handle records, scheduling, and patient inquiries will be essential in ensuring a smooth operation within our dental office. We are a well established, small (1 doctor/2 hygienist) but busy practice. Very low employee turnover, the open position has been filled for 5 years while all other employees have been with the practice for 14-30 years! We are hoping to have a team player added to our practice family. *Hourly rate is based on experience and skill level and is negotiable upon interview.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls appropriately and responding to inquiries.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently using Eaglesoft
- Verify insurance information and with insurance claims processing.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform dental billing and coding tasks.
- Review care plans and assist with patient intake processes.
- Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and maintaining office organization.
- Collaborate with clinical providers to ensure seamless patient service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and health information management is essential.
- Knowledge with Eaglesoft is a plus but not required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
