Job Description
The Associate Producer is responsible for overseeing graphics, supers, banners, and full screens for assigned daily show. They work closely with line producers to share the daily rundown, bring ideas and strategies to keep our audience engaged and help promote stories.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for creating supers, banners, and full screens for daily show and calling them on air.
- Collaborates with producers to fulfill graphic needs for segments.
- Reviews shows to eliminate spelling and grammar mistakes on air.
- Acts as a liaison with the graphics department to troubleshoot as needed.
- Understands Chyron and Viz operations to work with assigned operators.
- Works closely with Line Producers to discuss ideas for the rundown and visual needs of the show.
- Works on the promotional elements of the show, including headlines and promos.
- Assists line producer in backtiming the shows when needed.
- Attends production meetings to brainstorm ideas and ways to visually enhance content.
- Communicates with technical operations when needed to complete the vision of the show.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Experience working in TV production, cable TV and post production
- Deep understanding of Inews, LUCI and other operational software
- Ability to prioritize work and multitask over a wide range of responsibilities, often under tight and changing deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain discretion and manage confidential information
- Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel

- Knowledge of several genres such as game shows, drama, comedy, etc.
- Up to date with the entertainment industry trends for the U.S. hispanic market
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate while under pressure

- Ability to manage administrative duties, budgets and maintain corporate obligations

- This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.
