Vocational Case Coordinator Job Summary:

The Vocational Case Coordinator is responsible for assigned case management provided in the vocational aspect of Individual’s served. This position has no supervisory duties. $16.00/hour

Essential Duties Include:

  • Guarantee services compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations.
  • Ensure Individual’s rights are met and are of foremost importance.
  • Ensure compliance with company programs, practices, and policies specific to program and client management.
  • All employees are mandated reporters as such you are required to report all suspected incidents of abuse, neglect, and sexual assault in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure that Individuals are oriented and trained specific to the companies Safety Program including weekly safety meetings, drills, and maintain records.
  • Understand and submit all paperwork as required by deadline including transportation paperwork, attendance, job coach notes, objective sheets, incident/accident reports, time studies and case management documentation.
  • Provide individuals with continuous instructions for work specific to vocational growth and training objectives that guarantee and correspond with abilities and development.
  • Assist Individuals served with coordination of transportation to and from the job site.
  • Execute proper allocation of agency resources (product, space, time, people, etc.).
  • Maintain a courteous, positive, enthusiastic, well-mannered and professional demeanor while working with Individuals served and the community.
  • Collaborate with management in addressing worksite challenges, as well as, assessing potential crew opportunities.
  • Work with Individual’s served in a proactive manner to encourage behavior changes as needed and encourage growth.
  • Address behavior situations on emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Ensure that staff has accurate information regarding Individual’s served and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that staff is trained on how to complete data charts and all required goal tracking paperwork. Supply quarterly updates.
  • Ensure that Individual’s served are being paid according to DOL wage standards.
  • Implement satisfaction surveys for Individual’s served.
  • Oversee Individual’s assessment to determine their goals, preferences and needs and provide suggestions to assure meeting of these needs. Ensure contact customer satisfaction, by assessing the effectiveness of the placement of Individual’s served.
  • Instruct Individuals on achieving and maintaining adaptive skills and suitable behaviors.
  • Complete monthly progress reports required by Depart of Rehabilitation.
  • Attend all meetings related to matters impacting the design or change of services for Individual’s served.
  • Collaborate and communicate with Program Coordinators’.
  • Provide assistance for the crewmembers by performing duties to ensure contract requirements are being met.
  • Behavior intervention as required.
  • And/or any other appropriate duties as assigned.

NCI provides the opportunity to work in multiple locations. We are located in Paso Robles and go as far North as Salinas and Monterey Area.

Education / Experience:

A high school education or equivalent is required. Previous experience working with developmentally disabled adults preferred.

Qualifying Specifications:

Must have own vehicle, maintain a current California driver’s license and provide on-going proof of current state required auto insurance. Must have an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency’s insurance carrier. Must clear fingerprints through the California Department of Justice and FBI. The ability to successfully complete First Aid / CPR training is mandatory.


Skills and Abilities Preferred:

Necessary for this position are compassion, patience, good communication, resourcefulness, and the ability to make sound decisions. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize workload. Strong English oral and written communication skills are required. Reading, writing, basic math skills, attention to detail for extended periods of time, repetition, problem solving, and the ability to motivate others.


Physical Requirements:

Essential functions of this position require that employees regularly sit, stand, bend, twist and walk. Employees may occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
