Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Provides quality orthopaedic care for patients requiring all forms of immobilization.
- Responsible for applying, removing, and assessing the need for a change of all types of orthopaedic casts and immobilization devices.
- Measures and fits custom braces.
- Educates patients/families regarding the application/wearing of orthotic devices and serves as a resource for patients via telephone.
- Maintains patient care environment including orders, receiving, and stores supplies; cleans/stocks exam and cast rooms; assists in cleaning and sterilization of instruments.
- Assist with fitting braces and special casts when needed.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA Guidelines.
- Attends required clinic meetings and participates in professional development activities.
- Performs related work as required.
High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
